The food here is still delicious and exactly how I remember. I did takeout but, the service is still friendly and fast considering what I ordered. I don't think there is a dine in option because there were boxes and other things on the counter. I'm ok with that and it looks to be a sign of the times.

When you just want the basics - chicken katsu (ok cutlet) done well, it's time for Coco Ichibanya! Curry, rice, chicken cutlet, pickles. Fast, take out only, and now they take credit cards. Ample parking. It's all good!

Ok. So I just wanted to update my first review. Curry house is great. The trick is to call in your order for dinner rather than going in and ordering at the counter. Perhaps that's obvious but I'm slow. Chicken cutlet curry is fantastic. They tend to stop selling it about 30 mins before closing which often sucks for me because I can't always get there soon enough. The beef and vegetarian curry is ok but not as good as the chicken cutlet! Biggest thing is they close at 7pm. Everyday. So you better know that you want to go to this place otherwise you'll likely miss out. It's worth it though.

We needed something quick and tasty and I spotted Curry House on the way to our next destination. They are located in a little strip mall across of Pearl Ridge and have a handful of parking stalls. We walked in and were bummed to find that this location is TAKE OUT ONLY, but we were already there and decided to just order. Inside looked pretty unkempt and more like a storage or closet of sorts. It didn't look like they'll be doing dine-in anytime soon. I ended up ordering the chicken cutlet with cheese which is a local favorite. Our order came out pretty quickly and the container was piping hot! We ended up eating our food in the car, but man it hit the spot. The chicken was hot and crunchy and the curry paired perfectly with it. My son enjoyed it as well. I like how the sauce is kept separately in the container so that the chicken stays crispy and you can just dip each bit in the sauce. I have not been to a Curry House in FOREVER, but this was a good reminder of how tasty it could be. Glad we stopped here for a quick bite!

We ordered take out and ate it at Pearlridge, since the hubby was craving Mr. Cow. This location is at the Pearl Kai Shopping Center facing the street. You can't miss it. We put in our orders and the food came out fast. I got my usual which is the oyster fry with a side of fried pumpkin with less rice. The hubby decided to try out their udon this time around. I believe it was the chicken with spinach. I have no complaints about the Curry House. I always order the same item and it's always on point. It was our first time ordering the udon and it had a nice firm chew to it. If you're in the mood for Japanese curry you can't go wrong with the Curry House.
